Reggie Jones (athlete, 1953)
Reggie Jones (born December 30, 1953 ) is a retired American sprinter .
On July 26, 1975, he set the world record over 100 m in Boston with 9.9 s . However, due to deficiencies in timing, ratification was waived.
In 1976 he was involved in two world records with the relay of the University of Tennessee : On April 10, it ran the 4-by-220-yard relay in Knoxville in 1: 21.7 minutes and on April 24 in Philadelphia the 4 by 200 meter relay in 1: 21.5 min.
In 1974 he became NCAA champions over 100 yards and 1975 over 220 yards.
