Regina Poersch (born November 4, 1969 in Lübeck ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from the Carl-Maria-von-Weber-Schule in Eutin in 1989 , Regina Poersch attended the Altenholz University of Applied Sciences , which she graduated in 1992 with a degree in administrative management (FH). From 1992–2005 she worked in the building department of the municipality of Malente , where she became deputy head of the municipality in 2000.

Political party

Regina Poersch joined the SPD in 1985 when she was sixteen. From 2002 to 2009 she was chairwoman of the SPD district association Ostholstein . From 2003 to 2009 she was a member of the state party council of the SPD Schleswig-Holstein.

MPs

From 1994 to 2003 she belonged to the city council of Eutin and from 2003 to 2005 to the district council of the Ostholstein district.

Regina Poersch has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament since 2005 in the 16th, 17th and 18th electoral terms. Regina Poersch entered the state parliament via the state list in all three elections .

Since January 22, 2013 she has been representing Schleswig-Holstein in the Committee of the Regions (CoR) - the assembly of regional and local representatives of the EU in Brussels - and is a member of the Commission for Education, Youth, Culture and Research (EDUC) and the Commission for natural resources (NAT). Member of the interregional group "Baltic Sea Region".
