Reginald Keith Jopson

Sir Reginald Keith Jopson KCMG OBE (June 3, 1929) (born October 25, 1898 , † 1957 ) was a British diplomat .

Life

Reginald Keith Jopson was temporarily married to Barbara Ransom from 1945. Reginald Keith Jopson was appointed Vice Consul on March 15, 1920. Reginald Keith Jopson was appointed Vice Consul for Chicago on July 30, 1920 and appointed Vice Consul for Cologne on August 17, 1923 . In Cologne he was executive vice-consul from May 21, 1926 to 1929. He received his final appointment as Vice Consul on January 1, 1927. On December 5, 1929, he was transferred to Montevideo and promoted to second class counselor. Where he was chargé d'affaires from 1930. On August 22, 1930, he was promoted to Second Class Commercial Secretary. On April 17, 1933 he was transferred to Helsinki and on May 11, 1937 accepted into the Order of the British Empire. From February 14, 1938, he was employed in the Overseas Trade department, whose foreign department he headed from December 12, 1939. From July 29, 1940 he was a representative of the Children's Overseas Reception Board in Ottawa . On April 9, 1941, he was appointed Counselor (Commercial) in Washington, DC . In July 1945 he was appointed HM Trade Commissioner First Class in Montreal. On June 6, 1948, he was promoted in absentia to Senior Trade Commissioner fourth class in Canada. On June 9, 1949, was accepted as a Companion in the Order of St Michael and St George . On New Years 1955 he was knighted as Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George.
