The Regiomontanushaus is a half-timbered house in Königsberg in Bavaria , a town in the Lower Franconian district of Haßberge . The protected architectural monument located at Salzmarkt 6 was essentially erected in 1541. The astronomer Regiomontanus was probably born in the previous building .

description

The two-storey, eaves gable- roof house with side gatehouse was changed in 1881 in the neo-renaissance style. The house has an elaborate half-timbered structure, slug-glass windows and a richly decorated wooden gate.

The owner Uta Adams received the monument protection medal of the Free State of Bavaria in 2012 for the exemplary renovation of the monument. Today it is used as a holiday home.
