The Regionalverkehr Coast GmbH was a regional transport company in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The company was founded on December 8, 1992 and started operations on January 1, 1993. It existed until 2013. Angelika Münchow was the managing director, followed by Simone Stephan.

Four bus transport companies belonged to the RvK :

  • Coast Bus GmbH
  • Hameister Personenverkehr GmbH (private)
  • Bus and Transport Company Manfred Schubert (private)
  • Joost's Linienverkehre GmbH (private)

The RvK was a member of the Transport Association Warnow (VVW).

In August 2013, the RvK merged with the coastal bus GmbH , the Hameister Personenverkehr GmbH and the Omnibusverkehrsgesellschaft Güstrow GmbH to form the new rebus Regionalbus Rostock GmbH , which now operates regional bus services in the Rostock district .

tasks

One of the main tasks was school traffic in the Bad Doberan district. About 7,000 students took advantage of this offer every day. Another task was to connect the villages to cities such as Rostock or Bad Doberan . There were also connections to the neighboring district of Güstrow . The RvK came to almost 5.5 million passengers a year. The responsible authorities were the Bad Doberan district and the Hanseatic city of Rostock .

Lines

There were 37 bus lines in the line number range from 100 to 199. So there was no confusion with the urban lines of the Rostocker Straßenbahn AG (RSAG) (1 to 59) and the lines of the Omnibusverkehrsgesellschaft Güstrow GmbH (OVG) (200 to 299), which travel together in the Warnow transport association.

Lines 23/123 and 33/128 were operated in cooperation with RSAG.
