Emergence
The rebus Regionalbus Rostock GmbH was founded on July 25, 2013 by merging the following bus transport companies:
- Omnibusverkehrsgesellschaft Güstrow (OVG) from Güstrow
- Regionalverkehr Coast GmbH (RvK) from Rostock
- Coast bus GmbH from Bad Doberan
- Hameister Personenverkehr GmbH from Rostock
The merger of the companies took place through the merging of the Omnibusverkehrsgesellschaft mbH (OVG), the Regionalverkehr Coast GmbH (RvK) and the Hameister Personenverkehr GmbH into the coastal bus GmbH. Then the coastal bus GmbH was renamed the rebus Regionalbus Rostock GmbH.
The basis of the merger of these companies to rebus Regionalbus Rostock GmbH was the district reform Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania 2011 , through which the new district of Rostock was created from the former district of Güstrow and the district of Bad Doberan .
With the merger to form the new company, all employees, vehicles, lines and company locations were taken over and continued by rebus Regionalbus Rostock GmbH. The individual company locations are:

- Güstrow, Eisenbahnstraße (Customer Center Güstrow)

The rebus Regionalbus Rostock GmbH is responsible for local public transport and school transport in the Rostock district on behalf of the Rostock district. The core tasks include networking the smaller and larger towns and communities with one another, as well as their connection to the cities of Güstrow , Rostock , Bad Doberan , Teterow and Bützow . A close interlinking with the local rail passenger transport (SPNV) is realized through the connection of the train stations.
In the regular service and commuter traffic, in addition to the routes to and from the workplace, the mobility of the population to the respective shopping, health and social centers is made possible.
In school transport every day about 12,000 students are transported to 80 different schools. School traffic in the Rostock district is integrated into the regular traffic.

The rebus Regionalbus Rostock GmbH is a member of the transport association Warnow , one of whose founding members was the Regionalverkehr Coast GmbH (RvK), a predecessor company of the rebus.
Lines
Rebus Regionalbus Rostock GmbH currently serves 82 regional bus lines, six city bus lines and one airport line (Laage Airport) in the Rostock district. The line numbers range from 100 to 294.
The route of the public transport (local public transport ) in the district of Güstrow results in a star shape from the respective supply centers and train stations of the regional rail transport (SPNV) into the depths of the surrounding area. Special transport hubs are in Güstrow, Bützow, Teterow , Bad Doberan, Schwaan , Gnoien , Sanitz , Kröpelin , Neubukow and Kühlungsborn . The Hanseatic city of Rostock is connected to the line network in the Rostock district via a connection to the RSAG ( Rostocker Straßenbahn AG ).
City traffic Güstrow
There are several city transport routes for the city of Güstrow.
- 201: Line 201 as a ring line runs from the central bus station at Güstrow station via the KMG Klinikum, the Nord Bauhof and the Ringstrasse.
- 203: Line 203 shuttles between the central bus station at Güstrow station and Parumer Weg.
- 204: Line 204 commutes between Parumer Weg and the Glasewitzer Burg industrial area.
- 205: Line 205 serves the industrial areas Glasewitzer Burg, Am Augraben and in Koppelweg.
All lines of the city traffic Güstrow stop at the central bus station at Güstrow train station and cover various routes within the city. City traffic is supported by the regional lines entering Güstrow in a star shape, which also serve several stops in the city of Güstrow.
City traffic Bützow
The city of Bützow is served by line 208 as a city bus line. Line 208 is a ring line and goes to all important locations in Bützow. The star-shaped regional lines entering Bützow also support city traffic by serving several stops in the city of Bützow.
City traffic Bad Doberan
In the city of Bad Doberan, city traffic is served via line 124, which is partly designed as a ring line on various routes. In the city of Bad Doberan, too, the incoming regional lines support urban traffic.
Regional traffic
Regional bus traffic in the Rostock district is served by 80 regional bus routes. Important hubs are the cities of Güstrow, Bützow, Teterow and Gnoien. Larger transport hubs with transfer points are located in Bad Doberan, Laage, Sanitz, Ticino and Neubukow.
Airport line between Rostock and Rostock-Laage Airport
Rostock-Laage Airport is connected to the ZOB (Central Bus Station) Rostock via line 127 . For this purpose, the travel times of the airport line are precisely synchronized with the flight times of the incoming and outgoing flights.
