Regula Späni

Regula Späni (born February 10, 1965 ) is a Swiss sports presenter and editor .

Life

Regula Späni grew up with two siblings in Winterthur and is the daughter of the opera singer Paul Späni and a ballet dancer. She pursued a career as a top athlete until she was 20. In swimming she won twelve Swiss championship titles. After completing her training at the sports school in Magglingen , she worked as a sports teacher in Cham , before starting a traineeship in the “Sports” editorial team of Swiss television in 1989 . From 1990 she worked as a presenter and editor in the programs Sport aktuell and Sportpanorama , in 1997 also in the program time out and from August 2009 in the talk show sportlounge . At the end of May 2010 she withdrew from Swiss television.

She is married to the sports editor Stefan Bürer, who works for Swiss television, and is a mother of three.
