sports panorama

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

sport panorama is a sports program of the Swiss Radio and Television , which every Sunday at 18.30 on SRF two is broadcast. They reported especially about the current sports events in Switzerland and provides in contrast to the daily broadcast sport currently numerous background information. Around half of the broadcast time, a studio guest, mostly from the Swiss sports scene, is received and interviewed by the moderator. The audience is present in the studio during the broadcast.

On the old broadcasting slot on SRF 1 , instead of the sport panorama , the shortened program sportaktuell (approx. 10–15 min.) Was broadcast at a different time on so-called “voting Sundays ” without an audience or studio guest. Due to the new slot on SRF two since January 2009, it is no longer necessary to do without sportpanorama despite the reporting on votes on SRF 1 . SRF Zwei, on which most of the live sports broadcasts run, is increasingly becoming a specialty program for sports .

Sportpanorama was broadcast for the first time as a newly created magazine program on January 8, 1977. The presenters in the 1970s were the then SF-DRS sports director Martin Furgler , plus Karl Erb , Jan Hiermeyer , Heinz Pütz , Charles Raedersdorf and Werner Vetterli and for a short time Max Rueger . Later, Monika Fasnacht , Matthias Hüppi , Martin Masafret , Regula Späni , Hans-Markus Tschirren and Kurt Zurfluh were among them. Fiammetta Devecchi was the first woman in moderation on February 4, 1989. The record presenter is Bernard Thurnheer , who moderated from 1981 to 2015.

The broadcast date was originally a Saturday evening a little after ten o'clock (the exact time varied), also with audience and studio guests, based on the model of the current sports studio on ZDF , broadcast duration was one hour. In 1993, the sports panorama changed from late Saturday evening to Sunday (before) evening and replaced the weekend sports that had existed from 1961 to 1993 and was no longer continued. Since then, the latest sport has been broadcast on Saturday evening (as well as from Monday to Friday).

Sportpanorama has been available on the SRF website since 2012 . At the beginning of 2017, the show celebrated 40 years of existence.

The SRF came under criticism in 2013 when in the sportpanorama a match summary of the silent protest in the stands was replaced by fan chants.
