Head (Heraldry)
The ladder is a common figure in heraldry and is represented in its natural form.
The number of rungs must be described. In many coats of arms this is four or five, rarely exceeding seven. Sometimes two climbing devices are shown crossed. A ladder in the coat of arms is occasionally used as a talking coat of arms . The type of ladder is important for the description . The most popular design is the leaning ladder and the scaling ladder. The climbing tree and the wine ladder are heraldically differentiated from this ladder shape.
