Sascha Ruefer (* 19th January 1972 in Grenchen ) is a Swiss sports reporter , TV - presenter and emcee .

Life

Sascha Ruefer grew up in Lengnau in the Bieler Seeland. He has lived in Schenkon with his family since 2006 . His son was born in 2013. He has two younger brothers and a sister. The mother is from Slovenia.

Career

Sascha Ruefer graduated from the Biel Commercial Middle School in 1992 with a higher commercial diploma. Even when he was still at school, Ruefer worked for regional media. At the age of twelve he wrote his first sports reports for the Bieler Tagblatt, two years later he joined the bilingual local radio Canal 3 as a reporter and presenter . Ruefer is one of the few Swiss moderators who are also used for Eurovision programs on ORF / ZDF and SRG. From 2009 to 2013 Ruefer also performed the music program "Schlagersommer" in the summer program of Swiss radio and television. His affinity for pop music regularly takes him to open air stages or concerts. Born in Zeeland, he has been hosting the Volksschlager Openair in Zofingen, one of the largest hit events in Switzerland, since 2005.

Since 2018 he has hosted the SRF program " Sportpanorama " together with Rainer Maria Salzgeber, Päddy Kälin and Jann Billeter .

From 2003 to 2011 organized Ruefer as tournament director the football tournament Uhrencup in Grenchen . He is a partner in the company Uhrencup & Events GmbH.

Awards

On October 2, 2004, the show Sport aktuell , moderated by Rainer Maria Salzgeber , Jann Billeter , Mario Denzler , Sascha Ruefer and Daniela Schmid , was named show of the year by the television magazine TVStar.

In 2012, the city ​​of Grenchen awarded the organization Uhrencup around Sascha Ruefer the sports prize of the city of Grenchen for their commitment to the traditional tournament.
