Jann Billeter

Jann Billeter (born February 5, 1972 in Davos , town of Männedorf ) is a Swiss television presenter and former ice hockey player . He became known to the television audience through the SF-1 broadcasts Sportpanorama and Einstein .

Jann Billeter was born in Davos in 1972 and started playing ice hockey at HC Davos at the age of five . At 18, he was accepted into the first team and played a partial season in the first league and in the 1992/93 season in the National League B . For health reasons he moved to the first division at EHC Winterthur and finally gave up his ice hockey career entirely.

The trained radio and television electronics technician then worked for three years as a sports editor and presenter at Radio Eulach in Winterthur . On August 1, 1997, he switched to Swiss Radio and Television (SRF), where he became the presenter of Sport aktuell . From 1998 to 2004 he commented on tennis broadcasts and since 2004 on ice hockey. From 2000 to 2006 he worked repeatedly as a presenter and commentator at the Olympic Games for Swiss radio and television. In March 2006 he was accepted into the team of moderators for the sports panorama and since April 2007 he has been moderating a program with Einstein outside the sports department.
