Martin Masafret

Martin Masafret (born May 25, 1955 in Zurich ) is a Swiss television presenter , sports reporter and documentary filmmaker .

After graduating from high school in Immensee , Masafret began training as a gymnastics and sports teacher, which he completed with an ETH diploma. In the early 1980s he started working for Swiss television. From 1984 to 1990 he worked there as an editor, live reporter and presenter. Then he developed the concept of the sports magazine time out , where he was editor-in-chief and moderator until 2001. As a documentary filmmaker, he accompanied Martin Buser at the Iditarod , Silvano Beltrametti after his paraplegia and the Swiss national football team in their preparations for the 2004 European Football Championship .

His daughter, Tina Masafret, took part in the first season of MusicStar and then appeared as a background singer at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest .
