Kurt Zurfluh

Kurt Zurfluh (* 4. October 1949 in Lucerne ; † 15. April 2017 in Cienfuegos , Cuba ) was a Swiss television and radio presenter .

life and career

Zurfluh grew up in Brunnen SZ . The trained publishing clerk began his work in 1970 as editor and presenter of the program Regionaljournal Zentralschweiz on the Swiss radio DRS . He worked as a sports reporter for radio and Swiss television and as a presenter of programs such as Sportpanorama or Sport aktuell and presented various folk music programs . At times he was an external presenter for the television show Wetten, dass ..? . From 1996 to 2012 he was the moderator and editor of the folk music show Hopp de Bäse! active; After 270 broadcasts, he retired in July 2012. In 2014 he made a comeback at the central Swiss television broadcaster Tele 1 , where he hosted the show on the go for two years . He was a long-time columnist for the newspaper Zentralschweiz am Sonntag .

Most recently he lived with his partner in Weggis . He died of acute heart failure and pulmonary embolism on a trip to Cuba at the age of 67 .
