Reich Research Council

The Reich Research (RFR) in 1937 at the suggestion of Erich Schumann launched and initially the Reich Ministry of Education allocated (REM) to the centralized planning of all basic research and applied research, with the exception of aeronautics implement, under the supervision of the Reich Minister of Aviation , Hermann Goering was . In 1942 the council was reorganized and subordinated to the Reich Ministry for Armaments and Ammunition . General Karl Heinrich Emil Becker , head of the Research Center of the Army Weapons Office (HWA) and teacher at the Defense Technology Faculty of the Technical University of Berlin-Charlottenburg, was President of the Reich Research Council from 1937 to 1940. After Becker's death in 1940, Bernhard Rust became President. Vice-President was Otto Wacker from the Reich Ministry of Education. However, the actual management was incumbent on Rudolf Mentzel , President of the German Research Foundation (DFG). Support for research projects was decided by the heads of the 18 specialist divisions.
