Reimarus is an impact crater on the southeastern edge of the front of the moon , east of the double crater Steinheil / Watt and southwest of Vega , slightly north of the edge of Vallis Rheita . The crater is heavily eroded, the interior largely flat, apart from one further impact.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German mathematician Nicolaus Reimers .
