Reinbert Schauer

Reinbert Schauer (born November 8, 1943 in Vienna ) is an Austrian economist and professor of business administration (with a focus on public administrations, public companies and non-profit organizations ) at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz . He heads the Institute for Business Administration in the public sector.

Life

Reinbert Schauer studied from 1962 at the University of World Trade in Vienna, where he received his doctorate in commercial science in 1968 . In 1978 he was granted the license to teach general business administration at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at the University of Graz. A year later he was appointed as o.Univ.Prof. for business administration in public administration and public services at the JKU and appointed to the board of directors of the institute for business administration in the public sector. From 1995 to 1998 he was dean of studies at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at the JKU, and from 1995 to 2009 he was President of the Institute Council of the Institute for Association, Foundation and Cooperative Management at the partner University of Friborg . In addition, he took on several guest professorships at the universities of Friborg, Bern , Basel , Budweis , Prague and Budapest . He is an honorary member of the Austrian Transport Science Society.
