Reiner Chromik (born February 26, 1967 ) is a German basketball coach .

Life

Chromik played as an active player in the basketball league and hit the coaching career early on. In 1986 he obtained the C trainer license, three years later the B license and in 1993 the A license. 1997 finished studying at the trainer academy in Cologne .

In the 1991/92 season, Chromik was assistant coach for the women's Bundesliga club Agon Düsseldorf. In 1993/94 Chromik worked as the head coach of the men's second division club TSV Speyer, from March 1994 he was chairman of the basketball boarding school in Speyer, and from 1994 to 1996 he was also in charge of TV 1860 Lich (also the 2nd national basketball league ). In 1998 Chromik took over the post of state coach at the Basketball Association of Baden-Württemberg and stayed in office for seven years.

In January 2005, Chromik took up the position of full-time national trainer for the youth field at the German Basketball Association (DBB). He worked as a national coach for four years. During this time, Chromik was also the assistant coach of the German women's national team at the European Championships in 2005 and 2007.

Chromik became national coach in Luxembourg in October 2008, but then returned to Speyer, where he worked at the local basketball boarding school and was head coach of BIS Baskets Speyer in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB until 2010 .

In March 2012, he took up his position as state trainer for the Rhineland-Palatinate basketball association and continued to work at the Speyer basketball boarding school, including coaching the Speyers U19 team in the youth basketball league .

In the summer of 2016, he left the Rhineland-Palatinate basketball association and became a state coach at the Hessian basketball association.
