Reinhard Firlinger

Reinhard Firlinger (born November 5, 1954 in Linz ) is an Austrian management consultant and politician ( LIF / FPÖ ). Firlinger was a member of the National Council from 1994 to 2002 .

education and profession

Firlinger attended elementary school in Linz from 1961 to 1965 and then attended the Humanist Gymnasium in Linz, which he finished in 1973 with the Matura. Firlinger did military service in 1973. He then studied commercial science from 1974 and graduated in 1980 with the academic degree Mag. Rer. soc. oec. from. He is a member of the Catholic student union K.Ö.HV Franco Bavaria Vienna in the ÖCV . Firlinger is a reserve officer (first lieutenant).

Firlinger worked from 1980 to 1988 as a controller, marketing manager and group marketing manager at Steyr Daimler Puch AG and from 1988 to 1996 was managing director of Bauer Kaba GmbH. In 1996 he started his own business as a management consultant. Firlinger has been a managing partner of Axxon International Ltd. since 2005.

politics

Firlinger moved into the National Council on November 7, 1994 for the Liberal Forum and was its traffic spokesman. On October 2, 1996, Firlinger announced that he was leaving the Liberal Forum because the party was too concerned with (social) marginal issues and too little with economic policy. He moved to the FPÖ on October 3 and was elected to the regional party executive of the FPÖ Lower Austria in 1996. In addition, from 1995 Firlinger was a member of the municipal council of Gars am Kamp . Firlinger was building spokesman for the FPÖ parliamentary club and was considered a candidate for the office of transport minister during the FPÖ's participation in government. He was a member of the National Council until December 19, 2002.
