Reinhard Onken

Reinhard Onken (born April 14, 1891 in Willen , Wittmund district ; † October 16, 1981 in Neuharlingersiel ) was a German politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After finishing elementary school and attending the preparatory work , Reinhard Onken completed an apprenticeship in his parents' farm. He did military service from 1913 to 1918 in the First World War and was disabled in the war. Since 1920 he worked as a self-employed farmer . From 1920 to 1933 he worked as a community leader and from 1921 to 1933 he was involved in agricultural cooperatives and organizations. He became district administrator in the Wittmund district in November 1946. He took over the chairmanship of the Kreislandvolkverband in 1950, five years later he became a district farmer .

Reinhard Onken was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from November 9, 1952 to May 5, 1959 (2nd and 3rd electoral periods).
