Reinhard van der Heusen (born February 20, 1953 in Kleve ) is a former German Bundesliga handball player . As a national player , he played 14 international matches for Germany, in which he scored 11 goals.
As a player, he began his career at VfL Merkur Kleve in 1971 in the district class and then moved from Kleve to OSC Rheinhausen in 1974 directly to the handball Bundesliga . After the decline of OSC Rheinhausen in 1979, he moved to TUSEM Essen . He played there for nine years until 1988. He won two German championships with TUSEM in 1986 and 1987 . He played a total of 486 Bundesliga games and scored 686 goals. After his active career, he worked as co-trainer at TUSEM Essen and as head trainer at TV Jahn Hiesfeld.
