Reinhardt Cabano

Karl Reinhardt Cabano , also Karl Reinhard Cabano ( February 28, 1836 in Augustusburg - 1920 in Schwerin ) was a theater actor and director .

Life

His parents were also on the stage. He wanted to prepare for the agricultural profession in Stuttgart , and through frequent visits to the court theater there , he discovered his inclination for the acting profession . He asked a childhood friend of his mother's, the actor Karl Grunert , to give him lessons. He continued teaching with Ferdinand Stolte . Cabano had his first engagement in Altona as early as 1858. From there he came to Chemnitz, then to Zurich , Brno , Freiburg, Graz , Coburg-Gotha, Breslau , Altenburg, and Nuremberg, from where he accepted a call to the court theater in Schwerin. There he was active not only as an actor but also as a theater director until at least 1902. His star role was Shylock in the Merchant of Venice .

He was married to the theater actress Marie Cabano, who was engaged at the Altenburger Hoftheater .
