Reinhardt Hassa

Reinhardt Hassa (* 1952 in Dornreichenbach , today Lossatal ) is a German manager. From January 1, 2006 to June 30, 2010 he was a member of the Executive Board of Vattenfall Europe AG . He was responsible for the power plants division and represented Bruno Thomauske , the board member responsible for the nuclear power plant division, who was dismissed on July 16, 2007 .

Professional background

After completing his training as a machinist for thermal power plants with a high school diploma, Hassa studied mechanical engineering specializing in power plant technology at the engineering college in Zittau .

He began his career with energy producers in 1978 with a legal predecessor of the former Vereinigte Energiewerke AG (VEAG), in 1992 he took over the technical management of the Hagenwerder / Hirschfelde power plant , and in 1995 he moved to the board of directors of Braunschweigischen Kohlen-Bergwerke AG , where he was responsible for the technology department (Mining, power plants and disposal) was responsible.

In March 2002 he was appointed to the board of directors of VEAG and LAUBAG (Lausitzer Braunkohle AG) and in the same year he was appointed to the board of directors of Vattenfall Europe Generation Verwaltungs-AG and Vattenfall Europe Mining AG as part of the formation of the Vattenfall Europe Group.

In July 2006 Hassa moved to the holding board and was chairman of the board of Vattenfall Europe Mining AG and Vattenfall Europe Generation AG . These activities ended on June 30, 2010.

Reinhardt Hassa is married for the second time and has two children from his first marriage.
