Reinhold Reitberger
Reinhold C. Reitenberger (* 25. December 1946 in Munich ) is a German comic - artist - and expert and non-fiction author . He is best known for his biography Walt Disney .
Reitberger studied American Studies and Communication Sciences . He was one of the first authors in German-speaking countries who seriously dealt with the medium of "comics". Together with Wolfgang J. Fuchs , he put together the basic standard works of comics. Anatomy of a Mass Medium (1971) and Comics Handbook (1978). He achieved great fame with the biographical portrayal of Walt Disney in personal reports and pictorial documents , which appeared for the first time in 1979 in the renowned Rowohlt Monographs series. It was the first biography of the film producer that appeared in German-speaking countries after his death in 1966 and shaped the Disney image for many years.
In addition to his work as a non-fiction author, Reitberger also created a number of comics as a copywriter and illustrator. Again in collaboration with Fuchs - - resulting series of particularly known is the berry of Plantagenbär , free advertising comic for Kaba , of the instant - cocoa drink packings 1985 came with to the 1990th Reitberger was also a translator , including for Disney comics. Since 1986 he has worked as an author and illustrator of books for young people . Reinhold Reitberger is married and has one daughter. He lives in Munich .
