Reinhold Reiter

Reinhold Reiter (born November 17, 1920 in Munich ; † September 24, 1998 ) was a German biometeorologist .

Reiter received his doctorate in 1953 from the University of Munich magna cum laude with a thesis on "Determining the half-life of spontaneous uranium nuclear decay by counting fissure debris from uranium oxide and uranium hexafluoride in a proportional counter tube ".

He was a founding member of the International Society of Biometeorology , undertook, among other things, research in the high mountains and published numerous papers , including on meteorobiology and the electricity of the atmosphere.
