The Rivière Désert is a right tributary of the Rivière Gatineau in the MRC La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau in the southwest of the Canadian province of Québec .

The Rivière Désert leaves the Lac Désert on its north bank. It then flows through Lac Rond and continues to flow in a north-easterly direction. West of Grand-Remous, not far from Route 117 , it then turns south and now forms numerous narrow river loops . He passes the Chute-Rouge settlement . The Rivière de l'Aigle flows into the river on the right. Finally the Rivière Désert turns to the east. It flows through the center of the small town of Maniwaki and flows into the Rivière Gatineau, which flows south. The Rivière Désert has a length of about 70 km.
