Remi Korchemny
Remi Korchemny (born June 23, 1932 in the Ukrainian SSR ) is a former trainer who coached a number of well-known athletes , mainly from the USA .
After the 1972 Olympic Games, Korchemny moved to the United States. Here he worked as a trainer and advisor to Dwain Chambers , Kelli White , Chryste Gaines , Chris Phillips , Valeriy Borzov , Alvin Harrison , John Register and Grace Jackson .
Korchemny was one of the main characters in the 2003 BALCO affair . In the course of the investigation, he admitted in 2006 that he had given performance-enhancing drugs to athletes from 2000 to 2003. In February 2006 Korchemny was sentenced to one year suspended sentence. In 2007 Korchemny announced his resignation as coach.
