Hans Hofer (politician, 1944)

Hans Hofer (born July 1, 1944 , entitled to live in Meggen ) is a Swiss politician ( CSP OW ). From 1990 to 2009 he was government councilor of the canton of Obwalden .

The former secondary school teacher was a member of the Cantonal Council from 1986 to 1990. In 1990 he was elected to the government council by the Obwalden regional community. There he headed the education and culture department. In 1998/99, 2000/01, 2002/03 and 2007/08 he was the Landammann . In 2009 he resigned at the end of the year in office.
