Remute

Remute , actually Denis Karimani (* 1983 in Belgrade ), is a music producer and DJ from Hamburg . Most of his publications can be assigned to the techno genre. "Remute" is also the name of the music label he founded in 2008.

In 2006 his debut album Remute was released by the Hamburg label Ladomat 2000 . This was followed by further publications on labels such as Tresor, remixes for artists such as GusGus , and appearances in clubs such as Berghain . Remute is best known for releasing his music on unusual formats, including 3.5-inch floppy disks : In 2017, for example, he released the album Limited on 7-inch vinyl and 3.5-inch floppy disks -Diskette. This album met with international media coverage and moved the floppy disk as a music format back into the general focus.

Remutes Album Technoptimistic is the first techno album to be released on a Sega Mega Drive module.

Remute is on the editorial board of Return magazine , which covers computers and consoles from the 1980s and 1990s. There he mainly writes articles on 16-bit games and events. His interest in retro computer games is also reflected in some of his music productions and videos, such as the 2013 album Theme Tunes for 10 Games never made .
