Rene Arredondo
Rene Arredondo (* 15. June 1961 in Apatzingán , Michoacán . Mexico as Rene Luis Arredondo ) is a former Mexican boxer in the Light Welterweight .
On May 5, 1985 he inflicted his first defeat on the American Lonnie Smith and became WBC world champion. He lost this title in his first title defense to Tsuyoshi Hamada . In the rematch of the following year he took the title from Hamada again and was thus WBC light welterweight champion for the second time.
