Lonnie Smith (boxer)
Lonnie Smith (* 11. November 1962 in Denver , Colorado , USA as Harlan Alonso Smith ) is a retired American boxer .
On August 21, 1985, he took the WBC world title from his previously undefeated compatriot Billy Costello (30-0-0) with a technical knockout victory in round 8 . However, he lost it in his first title defense the following year to Rene Arredondo .
