René Aust

René Aust (born April 24, 1987 in Lüdinghausen ) is a German politician ( AfD ) and has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament since 2019 .

Life

Aust studied geography (M.Sc.), economics and philosophy and was press officer for the AfD parliamentary group in the Thuringian state parliament. Aust lives in Erfurt .

politics

Aust was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany , including in 2014 on the board of the SPD Kupferdreh / Byfang . He left the SPD at the end of 2014. Since 2017 he has been a member of Alternative für Deutschland , where he is a member of the state board of AfD Thuringia , chairman of the AfD district association of South Thuringia and deputy state chairman of Junge Alternative Thuringia.

On October 27, 2019, Aust succeeded in entering the state parliament of Thuringia in the constituency of Schmalkalden-Meiningen II as a direct candidate .
