René Djian

René Djian (born February 1, 1927 in Paris ) is a former French middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .

At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , he was eliminated in the preliminary stages and at the European Athletics Championships in 1954 in Bern in the semi-finals.

In 1955 he won silver at the Mediterranean Games . The following year he reached the semi-finals at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne.

In 1952 and 1956 he was French champion. He set his personal best of 1: 49.5 minutes on August 24, 1955 in Prague .

He is married to the long jumper Marthe Lambert .
