René Doynel de Saint-Quentin
Count René Doynel de Saint-Quentin (born December 2, 1883 in Garcelles-Secqueville , † March 15, 1961 in Paris ) was a French ambassador .
Life
His parents were Jeanne Marie Adélaïde Alice Stephen-Liégeard and Louis Jules Eugène Cte Doynel de Saint-Quentin (born October 14, 1850 in Caen, † April 18, 1928 in Paris). During the First World War , Lieutenant Rene Doynel de Saint-Quentin was a French military attaché in the British Army in Egypt .
Poland was divided between the German Empire and the Soviet Union at the beginning of World War II . In March 1940, René Doynel de Saint-Quentin - as Albert Lebrun's ambassador to Franklin D. Roosevelt - threatened Josef Stalin with an attack if he also shared the Kingdom of Romania with the German Empire and the Hungarian dictator Miklós Horthy .
From 1946 to 1961 René Doynel de Saint-Quentin was president of the Association Valentin Haüy .
