René Joffroy
René Charles Lois Joffroy (born June 10, 1915 , † 1986 ) was a French prehistoric archaeologist.
Life
Joffroy was the excavator of the Hallstatt Age grave of the Princely Tomb of Vix with the famous bronze crater, editor of the Merovingian Age burial ground of Lavoye excavated in 1905-13 and professor at the Lycée de Châtillon / Département Seine as well as curator and director of the National Museum of Antiquities in Saint-Germain-en Laye .
