René Schudel (2014)

René Schudel (born August 2, 1976 in Wilderswil ) is a television chef and cookbook author . Since 2008, he has hosted several cooking programs that he designed and produced in the Swiss broadcasting window of the TV station ProSieben .

Life

René Schudel was born in Wilderswil as the son of a village doctor and a nurse. After an apprenticeship as a chef at the Superior Grand Hotel Victoria-Jungfrau with five stars in Interlaken under the head chef Erwin Stocker , he did military service as an infantryman , where he continued to serve as first lieutenant platoon leader of an infantry unit until 2013 . He then worked as a chef at the then Hotel Eden in Arosa and at Caduff's Wine Loft in Zurich, as well as host and chef at the Luna Motel, Wilderswil. In 2006 René Schudel took over the Benacus restaurant in Unterseen , which he ran as host and chef until 2019. Since 2014 he has also been running the Stadthaus restaurant in Unterseen.

TV chef

Between 2008 and 2012 he presented the cooking show Funky Kitchen Club on ProSieben Switzerland , which consisted of four seasons with a total of around 120 episodes. In 2011 a book appeared on the show. From 2013 to 2016 René Schudel moderated the TV cooking show Flavorites on the same channel . This was followed by the program Schudel on the Rocks from 2016 to 2018 - the cooking show with musical guests , René Schudel cooked their favorite dishes with Swiss musicians. The TV cookery program Schudel`s Food Stories - Stories from the life of René Schudel has been running on ProSieben Switzerland since 2019 .
