Renart Wafitsch Suleimanow ( Russian Ренарт Вафич Сулейманов ; born July 27, 1937 in Ufa , Russian SFSR ) is a former Soviet sports shooter .

successes

Renart Suleimanow took part in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City in competition with the rapid-fire pistol. He scored like Marcel Roşca and Christian Düring 591 points, so it came to the jump-off for the silver medal behind Józef Zapędzki . In this Roşca get 147 points, while Suleimanow and Düring scored 146 points. In the duel for bronze, Suleimanow finally prevailed in another round with 148 to 147 against Düring. With the team Suleimanow was world champion in Cairo in 1962 and in Wiesbaden in 1966 . In 1966 he also secured bronze medals in individual with the rapid-fire pistol and the large-caliber pistol and the silver medal in the team competition with the large-caliber pistol. In 1970 he won the individual and silver title with the team in Phoenix with the standard pistol.

Suleimanov worked as an assistant professor of mathematics at the Bashkir State University .
