Renate Kirchhoff

Renate Kirchhoff (* 1960 in Göttingen ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Kirchhoff studied Protestant theology and education at the universities of Göttingen , Heidelberg and Tübingen . In Heidelberg she also worked as a research assistant in the Faculty of Theology.

The Vicar time and professional early years spent Kirchhoff after their promotion, which she completed in Heidelberg, from 1992 in Frankfurt am Main ; after six years she moved to the chair for biblical theology at the University of Augsburg , where she worked as a scholarship holder and academic assistant. In 2005 she was appointed professor for New Testament and Diaconal Studies at the Evangelical University of Freiburg . Three years later she became dean of the department. Kirchhoff has been the rector of the university since 2015.

Kirchhoff’s research and publications focus on a. feminist and gender topics as well as "Pauline anthropology" and the topic "Church and prostitution".
