Renate Langer

Renate Langer (born May 20, 1956 in Munich ) is a former German actress and photo model .

Life

Renate Langer was discovered as a photo model during her school days at the Willi-Graf-Gymnasium in Munich, where she obtained secondary school leaving certificate. She had her first small feature film role under the name Renee Langer in Roman Polański's comedy Was? , after that she was often seen in teen films, including as a temporary partner of Thomas Ohrner in A fat dog . She took private acting, language and singing lessons, made numerous commercials and worked in dubbing.

In the 1980s she was featured in magazines such as Playboy , High Society , Superstar , Pleasure and Sexy . A small supporting role in Robert van Ackeren's Die Venusfalle was her last film engagement so far. She also had small roles in television series such as Das Traumschiff , Kir Royal , Die Schwarzwaldklinik and SOKO 5113 .

In September 2017, Langer reported the director Roman Polański to the Swiss police. He raped her in 1972 when she applied to him for a film role in Gstaad . He later apologized for it and gave her a small role in his film What? offered that she accepted.
