Renate Philipp

Renate Philipp (* 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German lawyer and has been a judge since 2004 and presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig since 2017 .

Career

After graduating from the Stormarn School in Ahrensburg in 1980, Renate Philipp studied in Göttingen and Freiburg. She received her doctorate in Freiburg in 1988 with a thesis on consumer law. In Freiburg, she also passed her state law examination. Then she was a judge at the Administrative Court and the Finance Court in Hamburg , then a research assistant at the Federal Constitutional Court and the Federal Administrative Court. She has been a judge since 2004, and since 2016 presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court (3rd Senate), of which she was the press officer.

Renate Philipp was a member of the Federal Electoral Committee and is a member of the board of Society for Environmental Law Association
