Renate Ulm

Renate Ulm (* 1957 near Augsburg ) is a German music journalist .

biography

Ulm studied piano in Augsburg, music and theater studies as well as medieval Latin philology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , where she received her doctorate in 1989. She is an editor in the BR-Klassik department of Bayerischer Rundfunk and is primarily responsible for music publications and the programs for the Bavarian Radio Choir and Symphony Orchestra.

She stood out among other things through her editing and essays on the great symphonic as well as numerous program articles and essays. In addition to broadcasts, the series Hildegard von Hohenthal based on the novel by Wilhelm Heinse , Charles Burney's musical journey and workshop reports on the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under the title Conductors at the Rehearsal were created for BR-Klassik .

1985/1986 and 1996/1997 DAAD scholarships in Paris; 2007/2008 scholarship holder at the Villa Concordia in Bamberg.
