Renato Unterberg (born October 28, 1988) is an Austrian singer and songwriter . On the albums he has published so far, he uses various genres from folk , rock , soul and pop .
History and work
Unterberg's first album The Cinnamon Nights was created in 2008 in a two-year recording process in the Mildenburg 11 municipality in Salzburg . It is a concept album that also features guest musicians and singers from the Salzburg band projects The Merry Poppins and Meetin`Moa, and comprises 12 tracks, including some instrumentals and soundscapes . The second album Yelling with the Pantomime was created in 2012 as part of several recording sessions in the rehearsal room of MARKfreizeitKultur in Salzburg and was presented on a tour in Austria, at Klub Masterskaya in Moscow, at the Imagine Festival in Romania and at several festivals in Slovenia. The first two albums were recorded by Benjamin Lageder and co-produced by Thomas J. Aichinger. In the summer of 2014, the third album In Good Company was recorded in Sachsenburg . The album was co-produced by Arno Briggman and presented as part of a tour at the Porgy and Bess in Vienna . In 2015 Renato Unterberg won his single Love in the national preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest - Who sings for Austria? took part. After a two-year stay in India, the fourth album Letter from a Friend will be released in June 2017 , most of which was recorded by Unterberg alone and recorded in the basement of the artist shared apartment at Danklstrasse 2. The LP will be published on one hundred limited-edition vinyls in the Ö1 culture tent at the Donauinselfest.
