René Leclerc
René Leclerc (* in Beauvais ; † 1651 ) was Bishop of Glandèves from 1627 to 1651 .
Life
Born in Beauvais , René Leclerc was a brother of Thomas Leclerc, Treasurer of France. He entered the order of the minimites at a young age and became superior of the Burgundian order province . Appointed Bishop of Glandèves in 1626 , he received episcopal ordination on Quinquagesima Sunday (February 14, 1626) in the mini-church on Place Royal in Paris. The main consecrator was its metropolitan, Archbishop Guillaume Hugues of Embrun , assisted by Bishops Claude de Toiras of Nîmes and Nicolas Sanguin of Senlis .
Bishop Leclerc attended the general assembly of the French clergy in 1635 and died in 1651.
