Rene Mlekuž
Rene Mlekuž (born August 25, 1975 in Slovenska Bistrica ) is a former Slovenian ski racer.
Career
Mlekuž began his international career at the Junior World Championships in 1993 and 1994, where he competed in all alpine disciplines. He later specialized in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom.
Between 1995 and 2004 he competed in over 80 world cup races. He got the top ten five times. The only place on the podium was a second place in the Veysonnaz slalom on January 21, 1996.
He took part in the Alpine Ski World Championships in 1996 , 1997 and 2001 and came fifth at the World Championships in St. Anton in 2001. In 2002 he was a member of the Slovenian Olympic team at the Winter Games in Salt Lake City. There he started in the slalom and was eliminated in the second run.
