description

The two story building is north of the city center on Renfield Street , just west of Renfrew North Parish Church . It was built around 1900. Stylistically, the sandstone building shows motifs of the Scottish Baronial style . The stone is partly embossed along the facades and especially polished at the building openings. The front facing south-west is symmetrical. In the middle is the entrance portal with a double-leaf wooden door. Above it rests a balcony on paired corbels and a bay window emerges. There are three windows on both sides and the edges of the building are set off by pillars .

The side facades are constructed identically with three windows on the ground floor and two on the upper floor. A more recent sandstone slab emerges between the upper windows and extends to the chimneys at the gable end. The upper windows end with a round arch with a blind warrior and an accented keystone. A one-story building section with a hipped roof connects to the rear . The gable roofs of the main building are covered with green slate.
