The Rengali Dam is located in the Indian state of Odisha .
The 70.5 m high and 1040 m long gravity dam was completed in 1974–1984. It is used for irrigation and energy generation . The power plant has 5 turbines of 50 MW each. The storage destination (FRL) is 123.5 m . The maximum water level (MWL) is 125.4 m , the lowest water level (DSL) is 109.72 m . The reservoir has a total storage space of 5150 million m³ and a usable storage volume of 3413 million m³. The reservoir has a water surface of 414 km² at the dam destination.
