The Benson Knob (literally translated Bensonknubbel ) is a characteristically shaped, 1540 m high and rocky mountain peak in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Prince Albert Mountains, it rises at the southern end of the Ricker Hills .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1956 and 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Anthony Joseph Benson (1932-2008), Hospital Corpsman on the Amundsen-Scott- South Pole Station in the Antarctic winter of 1966.
