The Renner Peak is a turn 1100 m high mountain on the Rymill coast of Palmer Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the dominant elevation of a massif between the Chapman and Naess glaciers .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1976 after Robert Geoffrey Boshier Renner (* 1934), who was a geophysicist for the British Antarctic Survey on Stonington Island from 1963 to 1965 .
