The establishment of the place goes back to the construction of the Trans-Australian Telegraph Line. He was named after Dr. Frederick Renner (1821–1893), a Jena- born doctor and a son of the veterinarian Prof. Dr. Theobald Renner. Frederick Renner accompanied the construction of the telegraph line. He also observed the behavior of birds during the construction of the telegraph line and found water sources that were later called Mud Springs . The area around Renner Springs got its importance from these drinking water sources.
motel
In the 1950s, a motel was established in Renner Springs, which has a gas station, a bar and a restaurant. A campsite is affiliated. The building dates from the Second World War .
