Res Schmid (musician)

Res Schmid (born July 22, 1955 in Bantigen ; bourgeois Andreas Schmid ) is a Swiss orchestra player from the Swiss canton of Bern .

Schmid began playing the Schwyzerörgeli when he was six years old - together with his brothers Kurt (also Schwyzerörgeli) and Rudolf ( bass violin ). In 1971 their cousin Gottfried joined them, so that the three of them played Schwyzerörgeli and from then on appeared under the name Schmidbuebe . After various musical stations, the Res Schmid - Brothers Marti brothers' band was founded in 1985 and is now known throughout the Swiss rural scene. RSGM accompanied Peter Hinnen on his world tour. Res Schmid also became known for his interaction with Peter Zinsli ; together they developed an extraordinary style of popular light music. With the Berner children's songwriter Roland Zoss he created from 2001 around the radio play mouse Jimmy Flitz among others, the Murmeli -children jodel in collaboration with Christine Lauterburg a modern folk kind of dialect children's song. In the Advent music game with the mouse Jimmy Flitz, which brings together three generations of music and singing every year in rap, yodelling, folk rock and choral singing under the church roof, he appears with the Marti brothers.
