Please note the note on the applicable legal version.

The Reservists Act (ResG) regulates the legal status of reservists in the Bundeswehr in Germany .

Section 1 determines who is a reservist, the authorization to use a reserve rank and the permission to wear uniform outside of military service .

Section 2 regulates the reserve service ratio of reservists who have voluntarily undertaken to perform a voluntary function in the reserve organization of the Bundeswehr. This reserve employment relationship only serves to exercise an honorary position. The use of reservists for exercises in accordance with Section 60 of the Soldiers Act remains unaffected.
Section 2 applies as a rule to reservists who are permanent members of liaison commands.
